U25 Finale & Team Challenge Wrap-Up

This past weekend, the OEA 2023 U25 Committee welcomed 108 riders ages 25 and under from across Eastern Canada to compete in the U25 Championships! With competitors from New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario, the weekend was packed with action and excitement. Thank you so much to Wesley Clover Park for hosting the Eastern Canadian Eventing Championships – it was a fantastic event!

We kicked off the weekend with a “practice jog” to give our young riders the opportunity to experience what is involved in an FEI competition and it was a huge success!  We had 40 horse and rider combinations participate and the jog outfits were on point! Avery Tallman was the winner of our “Best Dressed” competition, generously sponsored by Equestrian Fashion Outfitters with her two mounts, Rehy Investor and BDE Olympic Royale.

Congratulations to Kimberley Begin, who came 1st & 2nd in the EV110 division on Ballinagore Rock Quality and Victory Cents. She won a figure 8 bridle generously donated by Bruno Delgrange.

It was a great weekend for Kimberley Begin, who was also the winner of the EV85 U21-25 division, on her horse Aires! They won the ADAGIO by Horseware brush boots generously donated by Horseware Ireland.

Congratulations to Juliette Veronneau & Kilkenny, winners of the U25 EV100 division. They won a set of IceVibe boots generously donated by Horseware Ireland.

To all of our generous sponsors – a heartfelt THANK YOU for allowing us to create a wonderful U25 experience for our riders this past weekend! For many of them, this was their first “two-day” competition away from home, complete with a “practice jog”. This experience will help them on their pathway to high performance and, hopefully, to represent Canada one day on the international stage.

Thank you to the following sponsors and individuals who have made these past few days so memorable. Somewhere in our grassroots is our next Olympian!
