Under Equestrian Canada Rules, organizers may hold one or more “Local” divisions subject to Bronze sanctioning provided that the specs for these divisions don’t exceed those of the “Entry” division (Art D301[2.88]). Both Starter (EV60) and Pre-Entry (EV78) are “Local” divisions, which aim to make introductory eventing simple, encouraging, and enjoyable for inexperienced horses and riders.
- “Local” divisions must be conducted as EC Bronze competitions.
- An EC accredited Technical Delegate is obligatory.
- The Starter (EV60) and Pre-Entry (EV78) divisions must be listed in the EC’s Canadian Eventing Omnibus with other divisions.
- “Local” divisions are open to horses of four years of age and up and riders of all ages.
Ontario’s Starter (EV60) and Pre-Entry (EV78) divisions will be run in accordance with EC’s Rules and consistent with the following Guidelines.
