Growing the Sport - Goals

This program continually works towards introducing more riders to eventing, as well as encouraging those already involved. Our Growing The Sport (GTS) initiative allows riders to try competing at an OEA event without purchasing membership. Pony Club members in good standing who have an active memberships with the Ontario Equestrian & Canadian Pony Club are eligible to show at any OEA Events, without restriction, up to a maximum of 3 events each calendar year (January – December). There is no cost for junior members to take advantage of this offer. Senior members will pay $10 per year to participate. GTS is also increasing the OEA’s presence at non OEA events (such as CanAm). This includes demonstrations to help educate the public, as well as increasing the social media presence. GTS facilitates subsidized clinic and schooling oppourtunities, and instructional workshop oppourtunities for all riders.
