OEA SCHOOLING DAY (CROSS-COUNTRY): Saturday, August 12, 2023 :CANCELLED
Venue: Bronte Creek Equestrian, 1694 Centre Road, Hamilton, Ontario L8N 2Z7

Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, the OEA and Bronte Creek have cancelled the OEA XC Schooling Day at Bronte Creek Equestrian that was scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 12.

We’d like to thank everyone who registered and hope to see you back next time!

The OEA is pleased to offer riders a chance to school cross-country on the courses at Bronte Creek Equestrian. Participants will be assigned to one of the small schooling groups led by coach and organizer, Judith Bisiker, unless they are accompanied by an organizer-approved coach. The groups are based on horse and rider’s experience and capabilities. As necessary, the OEA Schooling Days prioritize riders new to eventing or seeking to try their hand at XC for the first time, although it is open to riders at all levels.

$50 per horse/rider combination

To register please go to [INSERt Compete Easy info]. You will be asked to select your level/experience and please let us know if you have never evented before.

Registration opens on July 17 and closes on August 7 (or when the Schooling Day fills up). The decision to close registrations early will be made at the discretion of the OEA in consultation with the Organizer and the OEA clinician. If the day has filled up in advance of the closing date and you are unable to register, please contact Sarah Richardson to be put on a waiting list (vp@ontarioeventing.ca).

*** If you are trailering with another horse/rider and/or would like to be grouped together (at the same level) we need to know that when you register and we will do our best to accommodate you. Ultimately, clinic groupings will be at the discretion of the OEA in consultation with the Clinician and the Organizer. If you miss your assigned time, we cannot guarantee that you will be added to a later group. ***

Schooling Day participants riding with their own coach will be added to the schedule as convenient throughout the day and at the discretion of the OEA and the host organizer, ensuring that there are never too many horses/riders on the XC course at any one time.

All participants must wear approved safety vests, helmets and footwear. No OEA membership is required to take part in an OEA Schooling Day. Ontario Equestrian (OE) membership is required. Limit of one horse per rider.

Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund participants must cancel before the closing date. If you have to cancel after the closing date the OEA will refund your registration fee if we can fill the space from a waiting list. The Organizer has the right to cancel the schooling day in the case of wet ground if they deem the footing to be unsafe. If this occurs, entries will be refunded.

Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their horse(s) while attending the OEA Schooling Day.
